  1. We’ve been talking about three key factors that separate successful people from others in the crowd. We discussed technology (embracing and learning it), leadership (growing and inspiring others), and lastly, we’ll talk about attitude. It’s easy to let the pressures of a job create a negative attitude. It’s not always easy to shake things off and keep stepping to higher ground, but this is how to impact those around you most. Are you a person that enters a room and sucks the life out of it or adds light to those around?
  2. Imagine standing in front of the wisest and richest man of his time, eagerly waiting to hear what he deems most important in life. You can feel the anticipation in the air. And then, with all eyes fixed on him, he speaks his timeless and invaluable advice: “Above all else…guard your heart!”These words are a reminder to us all that we must be cautious about what we allow ourselves to love and become emotionally entangled in. It’s easy to fall prey to our emotions, but being mindful of what truly matters can save us from making damaging decisions that can impact not just ourselves, but those around us.

What do you believe matters above all else?

  3. In our journey of life, there are a few individuals who leave an indelible mark on our hearts and minds. They are the ones who inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves by simply being themselves. And for me, that person is none other than my beloved Uncle Charles Douglas Seigrist. In a world where success seems like a distant dream, my uncle’s advice on career has resonated with me like nothing else. He believes that the key to success lies in seizing every opportunity that comes our way, and more importantly, creating opportunities for others. It’s a powerful message that has stayed with me all these years and has helped me achieve my goals.

Who is someone in your life that you experience moments of inspiration when you are around them?

  4. Let’s Take 5: Do you ever feel like kindness has vanished from your workplace? We spend more time at work than we do at home, making it vital to form positive relationships with everyone we encounter – from colleagues to managers. The impact you have on others at work is entirely up to you. So why not make it a positive one?Whether it’s just a “Hello, how was your weekend?” or “How was your child’s game?” or even a quick comment about a presentation, sales or margin milestone hit, make it a point to show kindness to someone at work today.
