Today’s Rocky Mountain Gold leadership lesson happened on my walk this morning and it reminded me about a lesson the Maxwell Team teaches us; “You gotta be in the room”.

That teaching is that the best way to grow in your influence and to grow as a leader is by being in the room with great teachers and coaches and great conferences! There is no substitute for being in the room!
This morning, as I round the corner about to get home, I heard a couple of crows absolutely going crazy and when I looked up – saw this hawk perched in a tree between the two crows.
So I immediately took its picture, and kept walking.
As I took another look at it – it seemed like a better angle, so I focused on taking another picture and at the moment I hit the button – it took off in flight.
I just stopped and took a moment to reflect on this thought; “Wow, just like you gotta be in the room, you gotta be in the right place at the right time to get a money shot!!!”
So here is your leadership challenge;
Be in the right place at the right time and amazing things will unfold before your very eyes, and sometimes, you gotta take another look!!
